Finding A Match And Fit

Kendall, who always planned to go to college, set her sights on a local college where she received early acceptance to its nursing program. Madeline, her College Advising Corps adviser at the University of Missouri, encouraged Kendall to explore additional opportunities, even those of which Kendall didn’t think she’d be accepted. After the pair explored options, Kendall decided that another university was a much better match and fit. Missouri advisers empower students to identify and pursue their best postsecondary education pathways. Founded in 2008, the Missouri program places recent college graduates in under-resourced high schools where they serve full-time as college advisers helping students identify and pursue their higher education goals.
