AmeriCorps College Advising Corps Adviser
Location: Fresno County, California
College Advising Corps (CAC) seeks motivated individuals to serve in high schools across California’s Central Valley. Using CAC’s near-peer advising model, advisers help students explore and pursue colleges, community colleges, career and technical programs, apprenticeships, military service, employment, and other postsecondary pathways. Members work with students, families, educators, and community partners to improve access to advising and resources.
The anticipated two-year opportunity consists of two separate annual AmeriCorps service terms. A second term depends on successful completion of the first, continued eligibility, available funding and positions, and applicable program requirements. Members gain experience in advising, leadership, communication, data management, and community engagement.
